Toddler Christmas Books

Confession, I bought a ton of Christmas books but I never got around to wrapping them all so we could open one each night of December. Maybe next year? Okay fine, that’s what I said last year. Regardless, we’ve been having a blast reading all of the books and I wanted to share a few of our favorites with you all!

1. Little Blue Truck’s Christmas
You know how much we love Little Blue Truck around here, so it was a no-brainer that the Christmas version would be one of our favorites. Jude loves counting all the trees and the lights on the last page are always a hit!

2. Llama Llama Jingle Bells
Jude loves saying Llama Llama and I just love hearing him repeat it over and over. This is another quick read, which is perfect before bedtime when he wants to read 15 books before turning the lights out!

3. Duck & Goose, It’s Time for Christmas
This is our first Duck & Goose book and I cannot wait to get more of them! They are two adorable characters and I love how Goose just wants to do all of the fun snow things and Duck is just not having it!

4. Bear Stays Up for Christmas
We love the original Bear book, and this one does not disappoint! It’s a cute little story about all of Bear’s friends trying to keep him awake for all the Christmas fun!

5. Curious George Christmas Countdown
When we aren’t watching Curious George Christmas on Netflix, we are probably reading this book. It’s a fun little countdown to Christmas and all the fun activities during December! Jude now knows all of the different character’s names and he’s so cute pointing to all of them.

6. The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
Last, but definitely not least is a classic by our new favorite author. The Snowy Day won the Caldecott Medal in 1963 and it is an absolute classic. We love reading about Peter and all the fun he has during his snow day.

So a few of these books are pretty similar to our favorite Halloween books, but they are also some of our favorites. I’m sure I’ll be grabbing more books to add to our collection when they go on sale after the holiday. And hopefully next year I’ll get around to wrapping all of them for a fun countdown to Christmas!
