And here’s what we’ve been doing in this edition of currently!

Eating – All the tacos. Somehow I missed the memo that Sunday was #nationaltacoday but I totally made up for it last night when we had dinner at the Chuck Wagon! It is one of our favorite local restaurants and it has been around for-EVER (no seriously, my parents used to eat there when they were younger). And yes, they really do have the best cherry coke! Oh and I totally did not plan the matching stripes with Jude but I love it!

Reading – for the first time in a long time! Over the weekend I read the book Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty and I thought it was super cute. It was quick and easy read, which are always my favorite. I have a few more of her books on my hold list at the library to read next. I’d love to be your friend on Goodreads and see what all of you are reading so please add me as a friend!

Baking – or just mixing… Since food is starting to sound good again I mixed up a batch of our favorite no-bake energy bites to keep in the fridge this week. They are my favorite thing to have easily available for a snack whenever I feel like it. And I feel like snacks pretty much all the time. :)

Celebrating – the big puppy! Addie’s 5th birthday was on Sunday and BTR celebrated by drinking a beer called “Hoppy Birthday” and I gave her a spoonful of peanut butter (and also ate a spoonful myself)! I always heard/thought dogs calmed down around 2 or 3 but somehow she has just as much energy as the day we brought her home. She is the best dog ever with Jude and we love her so much!

Over-gramming – over on the Savvy Sassy Moms Instagram account today! I’ve taken over their feed for the day and hope you’ll go show me some love!

Prepping – a future post about my favorite early/first-trimester pregnancy essentials! I’d love to hear what you all loved the most to share in my post, leave a comment below!

Happy Wednesday friends!!

  • Jessica Scott

I love Liane Moriarty! Have you read her other books? I will have to check this one out. LOVE no bake energy balls. Hoppy Birthday…love it!

    • I haven’t read any of her other books, yet! I have a bunch on my to-read list now!

  • Well, I hope you had a cherry coke…it would be a shame if you didn! :)

  • Desiree @ Macke Monologues

Going to have to add Liane Moriarty to my list of authors to read! I’m all for quick and easy reads these days.
We whip up a batch of energy bites practically every other day. Between my son and me we blow through those like they’re going out of style!

    • I can’t wait to read more of her books! And yes, energy bites are so good, I think I need to make another batch today!

  • I feel like Mexican restaurants have some special secret behind their cherry cokes…they’re always so good!!! Glad you’re feeling better and can enjoy some energy bites–those are one of my favorite snacks too! :)

  • Elizabeth

I need to make some of those energy bites. Everyone raves about them and I’ve yet to try them! Adding them to the to do list :)

    • They are the easiest thing ever to make and there are so many different mix-ins you can use!

  • Sara McCarty

So fun! Happy birthday Addie! And the only things I needed in the first trimester were naps, crackers and a puke bucket. :)
