A couple of weekends ago we headed to Eckert’s for an Easter Egg Hunt!
Last year it was a bit rainy and I was one million weeks pregnant, so I was really excited to take both boys this year! I saw that they had half price tickets the first weekend so I ordered a pair online for the first hunt on that Sunday.
I love going to that first hunt time because it’s so much less stressful and less crowded. Instead of dividing it up completely by ages they let us hunt as families.

So a couple weekends ago we were wearing shorts outside. And this weekend it was freezing cold. In March. I’m over it.
We started our weekend similar to last, with a fish fry lunch at Cutter’s. When BTR got home from work on Friday he took the boys over to STL and I was able to get some work done while they were gone. So I haven’t done a weekend recap in what feels like FOREVER. And this past one was a good weekend so I wanted to share!
It started on Friday when we all had fish for lunch at Cutter’s for the first Friday of Lent! There was a giant firetruck parked outside so we were able to get up close to it! Jude was pretty excited about it!
Confession time. I had never breakfast at Eckert’s until two weeks ago.
I feel like that’s a crime now that I’ve actually experienced it. We were invited to have Breakfast with Santa and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint one bit!
With the Santa breakfast, they serve it family style to your table and it’s all you can eat. Yes, I said all you can eat breakfast.
But you guys, it gets even better than that. They have a table set up with cereal and donut holes. Oh yeah and FRIED BISCUITS and APPLE BUTTER. I’m not going to admit how many times I went back up there to … read more
