What a fun (and busy) weekend!
Even though today is technically still the (long) weekend, I’m sharing my recap today because I’m actually documenting today as my “day in the life” for Julia’s round up!
Brandon was out of work early on Friday so we headed over to STL that afternoon to drop off his latest project at the Side Project Cellar. We then headed over to Schlafly Bottleworks for a cup of beer cheese soup (so good!!) and BTR had a growler filled to drink during the baseball game.
We got home and then headed over to our friend’s house to eat pizza and watch the Cardinals game! It was a little crazy with lots of kids running around, but so much fun! We had picked up Strange Donuts for dessert while we were in STL that afternoon, but we also had ice cream cake, which I had forgotten how much I love.
We woke up bright and early Saturday morning, and I posted this hilarious photo of Jude’s crazy bed head on Snap Chat.
We all got dressed and headed to the local pumpkin patch! My MOPS group was meeting up there and we figured we could have some fun and take some fall pictures.
Jude played on a tractor, refused to kiss the bunny, and fed some goats. We bought some pumpkins and cider and headed home for his afternoon nap! Oh and if you want to see Jude at the same pumpkin patch last year, click here. I cannot believe how LITTLE he looks!
While Jude napped, I went downstairs to design some monogrammed wine glasses on the laser. I’m obsessed with how they turned out and can’t wait to make more!
That afternoon my mom came over to watch Jude and BTR and I headed over to our friend’s house for a surprise birthday party! Somehow I managed to not take a single photo the entire time we were there? It was so much fun catching up with friends and we all watched the Cardinals game (which was not as much fun as Friday night since they lost to the Cubs, boo). BTR and I came home a little early (pregnant girls get tired quickly) and decided to finally start Friday Night Lights on Netflix. OMG we are obsessed and can’t stop watching it now! Such a good show!
We woke up super early Sunday morning for church and then ran some errands to the grocery store before heading home to play and then put Jude down for a nap. I decided to take a nap as well, and it was amazing. I’m assuming BTR watched football while I slept?
After my nap I opened an early birthday gift from BTR’s mom, an essential oil diffuser! I love the smell of lavender and am so excited to diffuse it in our room before bed.
Before dinner we went for a quick walk around the neighborhood. We put Jude in his wagon for I think the first time and he LOVED it. He was so excited to sit in it, he was adorable.
I made chicken potpie for dinner and then we watched more Friday Night Lights before bed!
Okay now I’m tired just remembering everything we did this weekend! It’s time to watch the Cardinal game so let’s hope they do better than the last game! GO BIRDS!
