Favorite Things, Volume 2 – Newborn Bath

And I’m back with another edition of my favorite things! I’ve had this post in my drafts box forEVER and I’m finally pushing publish. This one is dedicated to all the bath items we used on Jude as a newborn, so like 0-4 months. It’s definitely not everything you would need, but a few of our favorites!

Ellie and Addie Favorite Things: Newborn Bath

1. 4moms Infant Tub
This is something I probably wouldn’t have bought myself, but I was fortunate enough to win one in an Instagram baby bath giveaway! I was shocked to see that I had won, and of course I had already assembled the tub we bought, so we have two tubs. :) This is the tub I’ve been using regularly and I love it. The built in thermometer makes getting a safe water temperature so easy. The clean water reservoir makes sure there is always fresh water available for rinsing.  It fits perfectly in our kitchen sink and I’m sure we will use it in the regular bathtub soon. EDIT: when I wrote this we were still bathing in the sink, I now put this tub in our big bathtub and it still works great!

2. Mustela Foaming Shampoo
Jude has a very mild case of cradle cap every once in while and I read the best shampoo is the Mustela Foaming Shampoo. I was hesitant to get it originally because of the cost, but I can say without a doubt it was worth every cent. Because of the foam it lasts a really long time and it doesn’t run into his eyes.

3. Skip Hop Moby Waterfall Rinser
This is yet another item I won in the giveaway! Of course I had also registered for one and already received it, so we passed our extra on to a friend! :) There is a rinse cup in the 4 moms tub, but I like this one so much more. And I think it will be even more useful as Jude gets older and is in the big tub.

4. Aden + Anais Washcloths and Hooded Towel
I also won these A+A  washcloths and hooded towel in the Instagram giveaway. :) I really did hit the baby bath jackpot with that giveaway! I love these washcloths. They are super thick and very large, Jude loves when I lay them on him in the tub to keep him covered and warm. I’m sure I will love them even more when he gets bigger! Also, these are the “boutique” towel and wash cloths, so they are slightly larger and thicker than the A+A ones you would get at a regular baby store.

5. Pampers Swaddlers Diapers and Sensitive Wipes
We’ve been using swaddlers diapers since Jude was worn and I’m sure eventually we will move up to the Crusiers. We also use Pampers Sensitive Wipes. I’m not sure why I chose sensitive, but now I love them and refuse to use anything else. I get all my diapers and wipes with my Amazon Mom Subscription and I automatically get 20% off! Like I said before, Amazon Prime and Subscribe & Save has been a lifesaver in our house.

6. Oxo Wipe Dispenser
I love our Oxo wipe holder, I think it looks much cleaner and nicer in the nursery since it’s always sitting out. And it doesn’t let the wipes dry out (unless you accidentally leave it open all night, ahem BTR).

7. Nosefrida
I was definitely one of those people who swore I would NEVER use this. And now I won’t use anything else. :) The Nosefrida is awesome and I love it. Enough said.

8. Boogie Wipes
In addition to the Nosefrida, I love Boogie Wipes. And if I’m being perfectly honest, I use them for myself quite often! If you collect the boogie rewards you can get free wipes and sprays from their website!

These are the most used items we use/used for Jude in the bath as a newborn. I’m sure as he gets a little older some of it will change. Did you have any favorite newborn bath items?
